Senior Finance Administrative Officer

In this role you drive the health system's financial planning, budgeting, and long-range forecasting while leading enterprise financial systems initiatives. You partner with IT, Finance, and operations to ensure accurate, integrated processes that support strategic objectives and executive decision making. You will oversee cost accounting, consolidated reporting, and complex financial analyses for the executive team and Board, shaping financial strategy and system optimization at scale. You will also guide cross functional process improvements and policy development to enhance financial information quality and timeliness.

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Coordinate development of annual operating and capital budgets, calendars, and workflows
• Develop financial models incorporating performance, capital needs, and strategic initiatives
• Lead ERP and back-office systems initiatives and act as Finance lead for system implementations
• Define requirements, design processes, validate data, test, and optimize post-implementation for financial systems
• Partner with IT, Finance, Accounting, operations, and external partners to align systems with business processes
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting system administration and enhancements
• Establish controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial information
• Oversee cost accounting, analysis of costs, margins, and resource utilization
• Coordinate consolidated financial reporting, forecasts, and management reporting for executives and Board
• Develop standardized reporting tools consolidating data across entities and dimensions
• Translate financial data into clear analyses and presentations for executives and Board
• Prepare schedules, dashboards, and materials for executive leadership and governance committees
• Support recurring executive and Board reporting on performance and budgets
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Decision Support, Operations, IT, and Finance functions to reconcile and interpret financial data
• Lead cross-functional process improvements to increase efficiency, standardization, and data quality
• Develop policies, procedures, standards, and controls for planning systems, budgeting, and reporting
• Provide training and guidance on planning systems, budgeting tools, and reporting applications
• Identify opportunities to improve integration among financial applications and data availability
• Lead complex projects involving systems, processes, and strategic priorities

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in an academic medical center or integrated healthcare system
• 5+ years of formal managerial experience
• Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
• CPA is preferred (licensure)
• Strong experience with ERP and enterprise financial systems
• Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning expertise
• Experience with cost accounting and financial analysis tools
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and complex projects
